Day Guest the Second

Joining us on the Sunday of the convention is Professor Colin McInnes, who holds the James Watt Chair at the University of Glasgow. Colin has research interests in a wide range of emerging space technologies, including in-space manufacturing and energy from space. He is no stranger to Satellite, having spoken at several of our previous conventions as an ordinary member. We are delighted to this time welcome Colin as an official Satellite Day Guest.

Day Guest the First

As usual Satellite 8 will feature a number of Day Guests – local academics giving talks on their area of expertise. We are delighted to announce the first of these, joining us on the Saturday of the convention, is Professor Yvonne Perrie, Head of the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences. Given the events of recent years, we are sure members will be interested to hear about Yvonne’s research on the development of novel drug and vaccine delivery systems, including mRNA lipid nanoparticles, as used in Covid-19 vaccines.
